Snippets of empowering conversations

Yesterday, news site Rappler.Com launched their project with Pantene called the Whip It campaign for women empowerment (using the hashtag #WHIPIT). It’s similar to those “media campaigns with a social conscience/consciousness” type of things that brands and products have been doing every so often in the last 10-15 years. In the Philippines, we’re seeing more of this lately in our TVCs, mostly in the form of “kurot sa puso” ads. Pantene’s will be a long-term campaign to help address gender issues in Philippine society.

Part of the campaign was a forum on women beating the odds and it happened yesterday in Makati. I was there and livetweeted some stuff. Got the collated crowdsourced snippets of my participation in the discourse. Just thought I’d share this here.
